Service Description

Self-regulation involves children's developing ability to regulate their emotions, thoughts and behavior to enable them to act in positive ways toward a goal. These skills allow children to do well in school, with friends, and at home. It helps children feel good about what they can handle and feel good about themselves. Here we explore self-regulation through the perspective of trauma informed practices and learn how to support self-regulation in both children....and ourselves! Having a home or child care program with a safe space encompasses the environment that enables children to feel the freedom to take risks and make mistakes without judgment or ridicule. The Safe Place is an area where children can go to practice self-regulation techniques. Here we learn about the environment as the third teacher and how to implement your own safe place to promote self-regulation skills.

Cancelation Policy

1. General Terms and Conditions Participants must stay for the full workshop to receive a certificate. Doors (real or virtual) close 15 minutes after start time. We are unable to accommodate children during workshop times. Please make childcare arrangements. These are non-credit workshops/courses, meaning they cannot be applied towards the completion of a university or college certificate, diploma or degree. No responsibility will be taken for any personal property left at the facility; nor liability for any personal injury. Photographs will be taken and posted to the website and social media for promotional purposes. Participants not wanting their photos taken must indicate this to the facilitator prior to the workshop 2. Workshop Confirmation and Payment Full payment must be made at the time of booking. Booking is done through the website. Receipts are sent by email. There is a $15 charge to reprint a certificate. You will be emailed a receipt within 1-2 days of sending your booking. Invoices can be provided but do not necessitate a confirmation. Payments can be made through our website. 3. Refund & Cancellation Policy 100% refund for cancellations at least 31 days prior to the start of a workshop. 50% refund for cancellations 15-30 days prior to the start of a workshop. No refund for cancellations 1-14 days prior to the start of a workshop. Enrichment Kits 4 Kids reserves the right to cancel a workshop for any reason. A full refund will be given.
